Natural Ways to feel great!

A.  Serotonin is the mood-booster in our bodies  - a simple way to boost is by starting your day with a relaxing shower which will help you feel calmer and happier all morning long!  Running water prompts the formation of negative ions that help the body produce serotonin.  

B.  Increase the "moments of joy" in your life - something as simple as cozying up with a new book or looking out your window at the softly swaying trees (note picture of beautiful lavender fields) or planting some fall bulbs that you can excitedly look forward to watching pop out of the ground in the spring.

C.  Deep breathing will calm your nervous system.  Take deep, relaxing breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth while closing eyes and visualizing yourself in a place where you are most comfortable - take in every detail of that place from the sounds and smells to how it looks.  Do this 3 times a day for 5 minutes whenever you feel stressed and also before bed.

D.  Go on a mini vacation for your brain by simply looking at beautiful travel photos - this is a way to cause the body to release oxytocin which helps you feel calm, focused, and energized.
